Prayer at DPCPrayer is essential to the life of our Church. It was essential for Jesus in his ministry and for the life of the early church and continues to be the fuel of the engine that is our church and congregational life.
We have a growing prayer ministry at Dunbar Parish Church, and it is central to our weekly worship. We are committed to seeking God's will and His grace for all situations in our church, and among His people, both locally and further afield. If you would like to be involved in this ministry please email [email protected] |

Finding time to pray
Some people find it easy to set aside a time each day to pray but many of us really struggle. It's not that we don't want to, it is just that there are family commitments, long days at work, being tired at the end of the day ..... We all have good reasons for not finding time to pray but would we do the same with our loved ones? We talk with them, send them emails or text messages throughout the day and phone them as well as spending time in their company.
Why not commit to making time to talk with God, your Heavenly Father?
It could be as you travel to work in the morning, while you exercise, make the evening meal or by finding a quiet space in the house to be with Him on your own. If you would like to start praying but not to sure how then visit www.trypraying.co.uk/ There is a seven-day guide that may be of help.
